Twitter has now announced they're launching a new bottom navigation bar on Twitter for Android, which aims to help you navigate through tabs in the app easier. It's a nice change to see, but it's not without some issues. The server-side changes require no update to the Twitter app and should happen automatically.
We’re launching a new bottom navigation bar on Twitter for Android. With this update, you’ll be able to quickly navigate between all of your tabs with ease!

Once updated, you'll see your Home, Moments, Notifications, and Direct Messages sections have all been moved to the bottom. This change does make navigating through tabs easier but, also as part of the update, Twitter has removed the ability to swipe between tabs in all but your Notifications area.
The loss of swipe gestures isn't a huge deal to me, but I can see how some folks would be annoyed by the removal. The update is rolling out across the app right now, so let me know in the comments if you dig the change or hate it.
